Thx everyone. I am happy with the numbers and have told her that we need to make positive changes. She thinks it's going to be awful but she'll soon see that it isn't that bad. Thanks Jo for explaining what the A1C is. Now I know that we need to really pay attention to her food.

Congrats to both of you - you for being a GREAT mom looking out for her kid, and Siehara for making positive changes and having her numbers look better than they did before!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

congrats on the numbers being lower. We follow a diabetic diet at my house because of my husband and really we as post ops do the same. and we eat good over here. She will see there are so many yummy things to eat.
